Web 2.0 Mirrored Text Effect meta info
If you're like me and surf the web looking for gorgeous fresh
design, you can't miss this effect. The effect is simple and
I'll show you how to make it look impressive. The following graphic
is an example of the text effect we will be creating in this tutorial.
Create fileStart by creating a new file with a white background. You can use whatever dimensions you need. Since this effect is usually used on nav menus, you may want to create your image smaller than the one shown below. STEP 2: Type textType you're the text you want to apply the mirror effect to in any color you chose
STEP 3: Duplicate and invert the text layerRight click on your new layer in the Layers tool bar and select Duplicate Layer Click on the new duplicated layer on your layers tool bar and then from your edit menu, select Free Transform, Scale. Drag the text layer down until it appears inverted and slightly squashed. You may have to drag your text up to just below the original text as I did here:
STEP 4: Apply effectsApply the following effects to this layer
