My top web developer sites meta info
Being a fan of cool and sometimes geekish high tech stuff, I tend to run across sites or products that I cannot live without. Today I'd like to touch upon some of the best (IMO) sites to gather useful information when developing a trick website. So without further ado... DHTML>No site would be complete with great DHTML graphics, a splash of Ajax and a little style. My top pick for this category is none other than nd now mootools. Where else can you get a consistently written set of scripts that can animate HTML elements, do Ajax and be part of a JavaScript weight loss program? Sure other libraries may have more functionality but none pulls them together with such a broad set of features and yet still take up relatively little space. And the new mootools site lets you pick the parts you want and it will automatically compress it for you! I personally use and endorse the moo set of tools and you can see examples of them running on this site.See also:jQuery -Interesting.scriptaculous - Cool features. AjaxFor me there is no clear winner in the Ajax races because each toolkit has some good functionality so instead I want to focus on Ajax resources. In this category, the pack is a lot closer so I have no clear favorite but I have to chose one right? So it would have to be Ajax Patterns. At this site you will get a lot of information on the many aspects and concerns of Ajax development and you will usually find pseudo-code, real source, samples and links to sites that demonstrate the behavior in question. It is a pattern-based site so you will find some great concepts presented here.See also:Ajaxian - Great Ajax-related news.Techcrunch - Good places to see what companies are using Ajax/Web 2.0 stuff. Cool DemosThis one is easy, DHTML Goodies. I didn't even have to pause on that one. DHTML Goodies has interesting tooltips, tab panes, RSS feed readers and a lot more. All work pretty well, have demos and you can download the full source. Can a developer ask for anything more than that? Go there . Now!See also:slayeroffice - Intersting web experiments.WebFX - Awesome site CSS Examples and GalleriesThis one is difficult again. There are so many front runners and since I can't pick one, here are my three favorites in no particular order.Related PostsSimple Ajax Code-Kit (fixed)What happened to...
